​​​​​​​​Captain Chris Newsome offers saltwater fly fishing and light tackle fishing charters on the Chesapeake Bay of Virginia.   Chris is a lifelong native of the Tidewater region and has guided anglers on the Chesapeake Bay for a quarter century.   Newsome's experience and dedication as a full-time guide has cultivated him into an expert in his craft. Enthusiastic and patient, Capt. Chris Newsome welcomes all skill levels from children to accomplished anglers.  He always works hard to share his knowledge and create a memorable fishing experience for his clients.​ Charters are located on the calm, shallow waters of Virginia's Mathews County.  Fly and light tackle anglers target inshore species such as striped bass, redfish, speckled trout, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, sheepshead, cobia, and more.
