Types of fishing available:
Specializing in fly and light
tackle fishing with artificial lures on the Chesapeake Bay and
its tributaries. Other methods of fishing are available
when requested or as conditions dictate. As your guide, I
will do whatever it takes to make a trip fun and successful.

Locations:
Charters are
based out of two locations to provide a variety of fishing
opportunities utilizing boats designed specifically for each
area. Norfolk/ VA Beach - fishing the open water
structure of the Hampton Roads and Chesapeake Bay bridge
tunnels as well as nearshore Atlantic Ocean. Middle Peninsula - fishing the shallow
protected waters of the Piankatank River, Rappahannock River,
Fleets Bay, Gwynns Island, Winter Harbor, Mobjack Bay and Dragon Run.
Seasons:
Spring-
striped bass, speckled trout, croaker, flounder, bluefish, gray
trout. Summer- striped bass, speckled trout,
croaker, flounder, puppy drum, bluefish, Spanish mackerel, spadefish,
sharks and
cobia. Fall- striped bass, speckled trout,
flounder, bluefish, gray trout and puppy drum. Winter-
striped bass.
Equipment provided:
All fishing equipment including saltwater fishing license will be provided, however feel free to
bring your own equipment if you choose. Freshwater trips to the Dragon Run
require the advance purchase of a freshwater fishing license.

Things to bring:
Camera, food, drinks,
sunscreen, bug spray,
polarized sunglasses, hat, boat or tennis shoes
(no dark soles),
foul weather gear and layered clothing
(bring more clothing than you think is needed b/c temperatures
on the water can be much cooler than on land).
Bay
Fly Fishing LLC encourages CPR (catch, photo, release) fishing,
however clients are welcome to keep enough fish for a
few meals. |
